Dear friend,

I have never been prouder to be a Honduran! If there is something the challenging events we lived through the past several months revealed, it is that Hondurans are democratic to the core, that we are courageous people, and that we love and appreciate our liberty.

Fortunately, the political crisis is behind us now. Honduran citizens went to the polls in a massive way (62% turnout!) on November 29 not only to elect a new president, but also to show the world that we approved of the house cleaning that took place earlier this year. The sinister forces in the neighborhood that were trying to strangle our democracy have been repelled from our country. We are certain they won't be messing with Honduras anytime soon.

I invite you to come visit us. Tourism provides vital revenue that helps generate the jobs and general economic stability that are vital to preserving our democracy. If you admire the grit and courage you saw Hondurans display, come visit us. We are strong, but we are also warm, lovely people. We'd love to show you a good time in our beautiful country.
